15N relaxation rate constants
Relaxation rate constants and heteronuclear NOE enhancements for DEK(309-375), measured at 600 MHz, 20° C, 0.5mM, and pH 6.5. Relaxation rate constants for nitrogen longitudinal, RsubN(NsubZ), (A) and transverse, RsubN(NsubX,subY), (B) magnetization were measured in addition to heteronuclear enhancements, XNOE (C). In C the XNOE is plotted according to eta = -(Isat-Isub0)Isub0. Sensitivity-enhanced pulse sequences were used as described in Farrow et al., 1994. Heteronuclear super1H-super15N NOE enhancements (XNOEs) were measured by taking the ratio of peak intensities in spectra recorded with (Isat) and without (Isub0) 4 seconds of presaturation
(XNOE = (Isat - Isub0) = Isub0). Isub0 and Isat were measured with a 5 s recycle delay. Relaxation delays for RsubN(Nx,y) experiments were 10, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110, 130, 150, 170, 190, 210, 230, and 250 ms. Spectra were processed using the NMRPipe (Delaglio et al., 1995) software and analyzed using XEASY (Bartels et al., 1995) on Silicon Graphics workstations. The volume of each peak was determined by rectangular integration within XEASY (Bartels et al., 1995).
