Cover Illustration: A homology model of the human serotonin transporter (hSERT) was generated from the coordinates of the Aquifex aeolicus leucine transporter (LeuT_Aa) structure using the hSERT sequence and energy minimization. The 12 transmembrane helices of SERT are shown as ribbons, with each helix assigned a unique color. The region highlighted by the yellow box contains engineered Zn²⁺-binding sites between residues in helix I and III that support the proposed model for hSERT structure.
