About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover Illustration: The prototype anti-cancer drug ovalicin binds covalently to His212 in the active site of Type I human methionine aminopeptidase. The crystal structure of the complex can be determined at very high resolution, which permits vibrational and other displacements of individual atoms to be estimated. The ellipsoids in the figure illustrate the relative magnitude and direction of these displacements. Ovalicin atoms are in yellow and brown; atoms from His212 are in blue. (See Addlagatta and Matthews, pp. 18421848.)
