Cover Illustration: Ole e 9 is one of the proteins responsible for the allergy to olive pollen, a pathology that affects 20% of the population in some areas of Mediterranean countries. Shown here is the 3D structure of the C-terminal domain of Ole e 9, which is a new folding between allergenic proteins. The analysis with sera of patients shows that the epitopes involved in the allergenic response are mainly located in loops but some of them contain also elements of secondary structure.
