Institutional Subscriptions to Protein Science
Subscribers to the print version of Protein Science
are provided with full access to Protein Science Online
as an added benefit. Currently, online-only subscriptions
are not offered.
Institutional subscriptions are available to academic or
nonacademic organizations with several to many potential
readers at one localized site.
For the most part, an Institutional online subscription
authorizes use at a localized site. A "site" is an
organizational unit, and may be academic or nonacademic. For
organizations located in more than one city, each city office is
considered a different site. For organizations within the same city
that are administered independently, each office is considered a
different site.
For example, each campus in the State University
of New York system is considered a different site, and each branch or
office of UpJohn Laboratories is considered a different site.
-
Institutional subscribers
receive the print journal and can provide their readers with online
access to:
- Tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full-text
display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank,
reference links to other HighWire Press journals, future tables of
contents, and data supplements. Institutional access to
Protein Science Online is automatic, without the need to sign
in; but it is limited to computers within the particular set of
internet IP addresses submitted by the institutional-subscription
administrator. Also note that certain online individual-subscriber
services will not be available via institutional access.
Without a subscription an institution's readers
still have online access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and
full-text searching (without full-text viewing) at no cost and
without having to register.
